Lindy Mc Clymont Matos
Speaker, Trainer, Facilitator, MC,Lindy McClymont has over 13 years’ experience in the corporate sector leading teams and managing business
units, predominantly in travel and tourism, general management and call centre management. For the last 17
years, Lindy has owned and managed a Training and Development, a people development and training
business which focuses on soft skills training, workshop facilitation, motivational speaking, coaching and
experiential learning. In essence, the business focusses on people and team development through real-world application and methodology.
Lindy has vast experience in many management development and behavioural programmes and has been part of
various leadership and Pan-African interventions and deliveries.
For a 7th consecutive year, Lindy has conducted a leadership development programme which incorporates,
mentoring, one on one coaching, various leadership disciplines and syndicate team work – both responsible for
the structure, design, delivery and process management of the programme.
Lindy specialises in experiential learning methodology and believes in creating learning moments and experiences in her approach.
Lindy has been actively involved in delivering leadership, mentoring and coaching programmes targeting senior [executive] to team leader level, equipping them with the competency of leading and managing people more effectively. This includes one-on-one observations, feedback and in-the-moment coaching, assessment of leadership Portfolio of Evidence and assignment to point of competence. This target audience covers over 3500 learners.
Lindy has also been actively involved in the mining and financial services industry, where she delivered a supervisory 4 day programme over 3 years. In addition, she has also been involved in the design and delivery for various Women in Business programmes and Pan-African graduate programmes..
Recently, projects in the financial industry have included the African continent – delivering leadership and team effectiveness interventions in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
Lindy forms part of the faculty for Duke Corporate Education, ML & Associates and BEEC International in Nigeria.
Her specialities include: team effectiveness, coaching and mentoring, personal mastery and emotional intelligence, change management and leadership. Lindy’s style is participative, energetic and insightful and she has an innate ability to connect with people.
Lindy holds qualifications in Business Management from UNISA, public relations and travel and tourism. She is an accredited facilitator through the Services SETA, South Africa and an accredited Coaching for Growth facilitator.
Lindy is also an accredited practitioner for PDA International.
